Solution Architect / Senior System Analyst

As the Solution Architect/Senior System Analyst, you will oversee the development of business applications and technologies according to our strategic roadmap and evolving business needs. This role requires a seasoned professional with robust hands-on experience in database design and support. You will lead technical initiatives and manage end-to-end architectural responsibilities, ensuring that our applications are aligned with industry standards and optimized for growth.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into detailed technical specifications and architecture blueprints.
• Identify, recommend, and implement technical solutions to address business needs, planning and coordinating architecture activities accordingly.
• Evaluate existing applications and technologies to identify weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Perform the DBA role, ensuring optimal maintenance and performance of all application databases.
• Establish and uphold architectural principles, best practices, and development guidelines aligned with IT policies to govern technology usage across IT domains.
• Manage the implementation plan and monitor the performance of internal development teams or third-party vendors to ensure projects are delivered to agreed standards.
• Participate in annual planning, including budgeting, timelines, and resource allocation, while monitoring operational expenses.
• Research and stay current with technology trends, sharing insights that can inspire innovative business initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture or Development Leadership roles, with demonstrated expertise in solution design.
• Extensive experience in database application/system design and implementation, with a proven track record in complex database development using MS SQL Servers.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and exposure to managing large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as ASP.NET, SQL, VBA, Python, HTML, and C#.
• Demonstrated success in migrating from legacy systems to modern platforms.
• Strong understanding of industry best practices and standards in system architecture.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Adaptable and quick to learn, with exposure to AI tools for coding.
• Proficiency in both Cantonese and English is required.
