Insurance Litigation Lawyer

Responsibilities

As an Associate, you will work closely with the Partners leading the insurance litigation practice and as part of a team of lawyers with extensive industry experience, helping our clients to solve their complex business issues.  Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide timely and high quality work for all aspects of insurance and reinsurance policy issues, professional negligence, medical negligence, personal injury or property damage claims
  • Work closely with international and domestic insurers, intermediaries and regulators on a huge variety of insurance matters, ranging from defending insurers and their insureds in large claims, to advising on regulatory issues and policy documentation
  • Maintain positive client relationship

Requirements

  • Hong Kong qualified solicitor with 2 to 5 years’ PQE; but candidates not within this range will also be considered.  Experience in defending employees’ compensation claims is an advantage
  • Excellent level of both written and spoken English and Chinese.  Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage but not essential
  • A motivated, proactive individual who has the ability to build and maintain client relationship
  • Ability to work well both individually and in a team setting with strong communication skills and a high level of commercial awareness
