Corporate Commercial Lawyer

Responsibilities

As an Associate, you will work closely with the Partners leading the corporate commercial practice and as part of a team of lawyers with extensive industry experience, helping our clients to solve their complex business issues.  Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide timely and high quality work for all aspects of client’s commercial operations
• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements and transactions including cross-border M&As and private equity investments, and take responsibility for client satisfaction
• Perform client relationship management and knowledge management
• Engage in business development activities for the practice
• Take part in knowledge and experience sharing with the team

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years’ post qualification experience from Hong Kong or overseas jurisdictions, with private M&A and transactional experience in leading law firms, experienced in cross-border tax planning is a plus
• Background or interests in China experiences would be an advantage
• Excellent level of both written and spoken English and Chinese.  Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage
• A motivated, proactive individual who has the ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Ability to work well both individually and in a team setting with strong communication skills and a high level of commercial awareness
