Construction and International Arbitration Lawyer

Responsibilities

As an Associate, you will work closely with the Partners leading the construction and international arbitration practice and as part of a team of lawyers with extensive industry experience, helping our clients to solve their complex construction and arbitration related matters. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide timely and high quality work for all aspects of client’s construction-related disputes
  • Draft, review and negotiate a range of industry-specific contracts between the different parties involved in the construction project
  • Advise on project risks
  • Be involved in international arbitration work which will be more focused on commercial disputes

Requirements

  • Hong Kong qualified solicitor with 1 to 3 years’ post qualification experience in construction and arbitration
  • Experience (and professional qualifications) in the construction field and exposure to a variety of commercial disputes would be an advantage
  • Those who do not have related experience but show an interest in construction and arbitration work will also be considered
  • Excellent level of both written and spoken English and Chinese.  Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage but not essential
  • A motivated, proactive individual who has the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Ability to work well both individually and in a team setting with strong communication skills and a high level of commercial awareness
