At Deacons, everyone is treated as part of a team. Its inclusivity and people-oriented culture I have personally experienced during my one month internship empowered my personal and professional growth. Not only was there abundant feedback and constant guidance from my supervising partner and buddies, I had also received countless support from other partners and associates in the team. The encouragement I received had allowed me to flourish and perform to my very best.
I was a vacation student in Deacons’ Finance and Insolvency practice group in June 2020. The internship helped me gain in-depth insight and hands-on experience; not only was I involved in drafting and reviewing documents, I also had the opportunity to join calls and draft legal advice on various issues. The responsibilities and real work were challenging, yet the constructive and supportive feedback from my supervising partner and buddies rewarded me with a true sense of achievement. The fact that I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my internship proved that Deacons was the right firm for me.
There is no “type” that you should try to become – you will be “the one” if you be yourself and give your 100% from the application process to the internship.
