I Chose Deacons
As one of the largest law firms with the longest history in Hong Kong, Deacons offers a dynamic and stimulating working environment with a wide spectrum of services and clientele. It is an excellent nurturing ground for me to develop my legal career. The camaraderie with my team members creates a conducive and collaborative workplace which I ardently cherish.

As an associate specialising in the area of real estate, I am privileged to be given opportunities to advise clients (including banks, developers and layman property purchasers) on a variety of matters ranging from sale and purchase of properties and property-holding companies, secured financing and refinancing, tenancy and first-hand sales.
Whilst my day-to-day work involves drafting and reviewing sale and purchase agreements, security documents and tenancy agreements that one would expect for a real estate lawyer, as the team often advises clients on unique and unconventional issues, it is truly an eye opening experience. In addition, I also work with my clients in guiding them through the process of tender sale and corporate restructuring involving the transfer of properties. As regards property financing transactions, I attend meetings with individual mortgagors and guarantors to explain the legal implications of security documents.
Exposure to the diverse practice areas and well-rounded training opportunities as a vacation student and trainee solicitor at Deacons have been very helpful in guiding me to pursue my interested field and laying a solid foundation of the legal knowledge and experience expected of a junior lawyer.
I enjoy hiking, watching films, reading and listening to music to be transported somewhat out of reality and to wind down. I also love travelling to explore the wonders of the world and experience the diverse cultures.
