Probate Assistant

A career in our Wills & Estate Administration Practice Group will provide you with the opportunity to contribute high quality services to a wide range of private clients practice, including wealth, later-life and succession planning, wills, probate and estate matters involving multi-jurisdictional elements.

Responsibilities

As a Probate Assistant, you will work as part of a team of lawyers and legal professionals with extensive industry experience. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in different types of succession matters, including but not limited to preparing legal documents relating to succession planning, probate and estate administration
  • Provide support to team members on general administrative work, including arrange meetings, taking meeting notes, filing, scanning, printing, billing, etc.
  • Perform clerical duties such as data entry, formatting, typing, translating and proofreading legal documents and correspondence and carry out tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in legal firm or in handling wills and probate applications, succession or wealth management matters is preferable, fresh graduates will also be considered
  • Good command in both English and Chinese languages, and ability to speak Putonghua is an advantage
  • Familiar with MS office application and knowledge in Chinese word processing
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to work in a team
  • Organized, self-motivated, willing to learn, with a strong sense of responsibility
